Balog embarked on his career in the film industry, where he spent over a decade refining his skills and received numerous national and international awards for his work. Ultimately, he chose to return to his first passion: writing novels.
His debut novel, What Whispers in the Darkness, is a gripping psychological horror set along Vermont’s iconic Route Two — a tale of a couple stranded at a desolate inn where the line between nightmare and reality dissolves into something far more terrifying. The book has been featured in bookstores nationwide and is available through major retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and independent booksellers. Andrew is currently at work on the highly anticipated sequel.
Beyond his writing, Andrew is the founder of Fiction Forge Press LLC, an independent publishing house dedicated to bringing bold, boundary-pushing fiction to readers who crave stories that linger long after the last page.
Today, he resides on a small farm in upstate New York with his wife, Margaret, and their three children. Balog remains steadfastly devoted to the core principles of his life: faith, family, and the art of storytelling.
