A former East New York, Brooklyn kid who survived a near-fatal childhood accident and
multiple brushes with death, Mike brings an authentic toughness, humor, and larger-than-life
presence to everything he does. With acting credits on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,
The Sopranos, Superstore, and Minx, he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in Astral
Plane Drifter — a wild, genre-blending Western/Sci-Fi/Kung-Fu/Comedy that has been
called “a cult-classic midnight movie” by reviewers and compared to The Big Lebowski, El
Topo, Flash Gordon, and Cheech & Chong..
Since releasing the film, Mike has taken a relentless roadshow approach — initially
screening at film festivals, and winning 27 awards and nominated for 22 others. It also won
Film Threat’s Award This! for “Best WTF?” Award and earned a Movie of the Year
nomination from them as well. Now he travels to events, conventions, theatrical screenings
and DIY pop up event screenings across the country, bringing with him a full red carpet
setup, merch table (including limited edition “Green-Rays”), and always does personal
Q&As after the film.
