Frank Palangi is an Upstate New York-based independent filmmaker, multi-instrumentalist, and hard rock recording artist who has carved out a unique niche in the indie horror genre. Known for his hands-on approach to filmmaking, he frequently serves as a writer, director, editor, producer, and actor across his various projects. His directorial style leans heavily into building atmospheric mood, psychological suspense, and retro aesthetics rather than relying solely on jump scares.
Palangi operates through his production banner, Palangi Films, and has directed over 20 projects, often partnering with executive producer Gregory Hatanaka and distribution house Cinema Epoch to bring his high-concept genre cinema to major ad-supported streaming platforms like Tubi and Fawesome.
Beyond the director’s chair, Palangi is a charting post-grunge and heavy rock artist whose musical style is inspired by iconic acts like Metallica and Ozzy Osbourne.
